Beyoncé was our pet. We had raised her and her brother, Pecky since they were chicks. They would fall asleep while sitting on our laps. They were always by our sides while doing chores. She loved popcorn. This is a portrait of a family member whom we loved very much. Of note - there is a common myth that Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be America's mascot instead of the Eagle. Apparently, he didn't like the design of an emblem, stating the Eagle looked more like a Turkey. Apparently, he never did preferred the Turkey over the Eagle.
